The inner port in Hoorn, with a view of the Oudedoelenkade. The photo was taken at the Hoorn Port Authority, near De Hoofdtoren. The inner port is of course connected to the main harbour, which in turn connects to the Markermeer. Before the Zuiderzee was closed off, Hoorn was a busy port.
Ships moored at dusk; at that time it was already quarter to 4 on 4 January 2014. Dusk was already slowly beginning to set in.
As Hoorn and historic city, I edited the photo old-school as if it was from the 19th century. This photo belongs to the Modern History series.
