This work shows a fragment of the colossal Hooglandse church in the old center of Leiden. It shows the door of the Hooglandse huys, painted in old green. The name is also written above the door in calligraphic script. To the left above the door hangs a huge old wall lantern. Halfway up is a neatly parked Gazelle bicycle. Also in view is an old street lamp. In front of the building is a series of gray bollards. Because there are no people on the work, the sculpture radiates a serene calm. This work can be ordered in both color and black and white.
