About ‘Het Westen van Rotterdam’ by Ton de Koning

Het Westen van Rotterdam en Delfshaven met grote straten als de Willem Buytewechstraat en de Westzeedijk. Vanaf een dak van een van de gebouwen bij de Mullerpier. Dreigende wolken verklaren een naderende winterbui van hagel en sneeuw. Met helemaal links nog net de hoogbouw aan het Marconiplein, de torens van Europoint. In de verte zien we Schiedam, Delft en zelfs Den Haag aan de hoirzon aftekenen. Als je goed kijkt zie je het begin van de Schiedamseweg en de Nieuwe Binnenweg. Ook de flat De Kolk bij de Achterhavenbrug met daarachter het kerktorentje van de Pelgrimvader kerk. Zelfs de vier flats op een rijtje bij de grote Visserijplein kunnen we op deze foto zien. Helemaal rechts zien we de Willebrordkerk aan de Beukelsdijk.
