About ‘Golden Buddha at Wat Makut’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

In the tranquil interior of Wat Makut Kasatriyaram Ratchaworavihan, hidden in the historic heart of Bangkok, the golden Buddha sits in timeless serenity. His gaze is lowered, yet he seems to see everything – the fleeting thoughts of the world as well as the subtle movements of the soul. The warm glow of his body is reflected in the red and gold ornaments that surround him like a heavenly frame.
All around, murals tell of paths to enlightenment: delicate figures, disciples of the Enlightened One, float through clouds of smoke and dreams. They dance between light and shadow, between temptation and liberation. Every line, every colour seems to carry a whisper – of transience, of compassion, of the quiet power of meditation.
Here, far from the noise of the streets in the Phra Nakhon district, time slows down. Breathing becomes calmer, thoughts clearer. It is as though the space itself is listening, as though every silence carries meaning.
And so the Buddha remains, still yet alive, at the centre of this cosmos of faith and art – an anchor of serenity amidst the fleeting world.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
