About ‘Glenfinnan Viaduct, also known as "the Hogwarts Express"’ by Mooie Foto

When the Glenfinnan Viaduct was built in 1901, no one could have imagined how iconic it would become. The Harry Potter film series certainly contributed to this. The steam train, known as the "Jacobite-trein". What the Jacobites have to do with this train is not entirely clear, but it has been running from Fort William to Mallaig since 1984. A real tourist attraction that many people have fond memories of. This train was not specially decorated for the Harry Potter films, it really does run!

When we arrived at the viaduct, it was already quite busy. Not only is the train ride a tourist highlight, but the daily passing of the train is also an attraction that draws many spectators. And most spectators climbed up to where the viaduct meets the mountain again, or went to the viewpoint, where you can see the bend in the track.

That bend doesn't come out very well in this photo, but the valley, through which a small river flows, with its rich flora, comes out all the better . In my other photo of Scotland on this page, I describe the ruggedness of Scotland. This photo shows a completely different side. Due to the mild climate and the constant rainfall (usually small amounts, but quite often), there is very rich vegetation. Scottish nature is beautiful, even when a steam train is passing through.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
