Georg Schrimpf (Munich, Bavaria, Germany, 13 February 1889 - Berlin, 19 April 1938) was a German painter. He is considered part of the Neue Sachlichkeit movement.
In Northern Italy he became friends with the writer Oskar Maria Graf in an anarchist colony. During the First World War he managed to stay out of military service for health reasons and lived in Berlin. At that time he began to paint. As a completely autodidact he copied Dutch masters, as a livelihood. In 1921 he joined the 'Neue Sezession'.
