For me as a photographer, images like this are a gift that come about by working with a subject without having planned it that way beforehand. Before taking this picture, I had taken a picture with three pieces of garlic in a row (see the work with work code 1695363).
After taking that photo, I started working on one bulb of garlic, taking apart one of the other bulbs and adding pieces. In the end, one piece along it was the prettiest. The pretty rug with that delicate crochet work comes from the family and is handmade.
