Walking through the Australian Bush is an uplifting experience. There are lots of sounds, like the wind gently moving through the treetops, birdlife providing a soundtrack and even the trickle of water in the nearby streams adding a calming noise. The smells found in the bush are equally interesting, with a predominantly eucalyptus aroma evident, especially after it has been raining. But it is the light that I enjoy the most. Usually, it is dappled, caused by the overhead canopy, but every now and then a stream of light makes its way through an opening and floodlights the walking track.
