This photo was taken during a very cold and stormy morning on the coast of the IJsselmeer. The strong wind caused fierce waves. The splashing water was caught by the wind and ice-cold drops were blown inland. Everything that came into contact with this immediately changed into a thin layer of ice, so that plants seemed to be caught in a crystal ball and large icicles hung on the pollard willows near the water. These unique winter conditions created very photogenic pictures and I am happy that I have captured this scene.
