These old beech trees have such amazing presence no matter what the conditions are, but sometimes the conditions help to convey their age. It was really foggy the morning I made this image. It was a dark and dreary kind of fog and it made this woodland feel like the pages of a yellowed storybook. Everywhere I looked were little scenes that had their own story to tell. The remnants of the snow were still visible which added to the fairytale atmosphere and made it look almost like an old illustration
