The title of this piece 'Forget Thyself to Marble' is a quotation from the poem Il Penseroso by John Milton (1608-1674) and it crossed my mind when I saw this marble merchant's premises in Tavernelle, Umbria, Italy. A vast expanse of items made from marble, ranging from fountains to statues. In the background is the large green crane that lifts the heavy slabs of marble. A veritable Aladdin's cave!
