About ‘Flowers in blue’ by Marion Kraus
In the 17th century, painting large floral arrangements was very popular; the more exuberant, the better. The bouquets were sometimes depicted as if they were standing in a niche, surrounded by shells and flies. This work is also based on that style.

I did my education at art academy Minerva in Groningen. Next to my painting I started photographing after 2007. The still life has my great preference and the 17th century is my source of inspiration.
