The Ferrari 499P is a sports prototype race car built by Scuderia Ferrari to compete with brands like Porsche, Toyota and Cadillac in the FIA World Endurance Championship in the Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) category for the 2023 seas. It has been 50 years since Ferrari competed with a factorybacked sports prototype for the overall win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The AF Corse No. 51 Ferrari 499P won the 2023 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the next race in the FIA World Endurance Championship. This was the Prancing Horse’s tenth overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, to go with those collected in 1949, 1954, 1958, and 1960-1965.
