About ‘Évora, Portugal’ by rosstek ®

Welcome to Évora, an enchanting city in the Alentejo region of Portugal, where time seems to have stood still. As you wander through these narrow, cobbled streets (as pictured), you immediately feel the nostalgic charm that makes this UNESCO World Heritage city so unique. The winding, uneven paths force you to slow your pace, giving you the chance to soak up the rich history at every turn.

The distinctive whitewashed houses with their striking, traditional mustard-yellow skirting and window frames (also seen in other places like Elvas) evoke memories of Moorish influences and a timeless, authentic Portugal. The shadows cast by the high walls offer a welcome coolness during hot days and create an intimate atmosphere. The streets are so narrow that cars can hardly or not at all pass through, adding to the tranquillity and experience of a city best explored on foot.

Évora is a jewel full of historical sights, from Roman temples to medieval cathedrals. But the true magic lies in these quaint alleyways, where it is easy to get lost and discover another piece of history or photo opportunity around every corner. It's a place where you experience the serenity of Portugal's interior and feel part of centuries-old, quiet life for a moment.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
