About ‘Euromast silhouette’ by Edwin Muller

The Euromast has been the symbol of the city of Rotterdam for years. It towers high above its surroundings and reflects the raw environment of the city. Not only can you see the whole of Rotterdam from the Euromast, but the Euromast can also be seen from all over Rotterdam.

I took this photo during the golden hour on a beautiful summer's day. By photographing from a great distance with a telephoto lens, from the other side of the River Maas, I created the effect that the Euromast is completely isolated in the image.

The setting sun, which is just scattering its last rays over Rotterdam, creates a beautiful golden glow over the photo. And if you look very closely, you can just make out the visitors on the platform and in the restaurant.
