About "Erfurt - Anger - Tram"

About the artwork

The picture shows the Anger in Erfurt at night - a central square in the city, captured with a long exposure that makes the movement of a passing tram visible as a trail of light. In the background is a historic building with a clock tower, whose façade is emphasised by artificial light. Illuminated shop windows and shop signs can be seen on the right-hand side, lending the picture an urban depth. The tram tracks in the foreground lead the eye through the scene.

The Anger is one of Erfurt's most important squares - historically grown, today a hub for transport, trade and encounters. The mixture of classic architecture and modern infrastructure makes it an exciting subject for urban photography.

My inspiration was to combine the dynamism of the urban space with the tranquillity of the night. The long exposure makes it possible to visualise movement without overloading the composition. The traces of light from the tram contrast with the static architecture.

The image conveys a sense of urban continuity - a moment between movement and standstill. In an interior, it acts as a graphically clear, timeless accent. It is particularly suitable for modern rooms that are looking for structure, depth and a reference to urban life.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
