About ‘Erawan Falls: Early Bird Edition’ by Sam Pintens

Travelling around Southeast Asia, my wife absolutely wanted to see waterfalls. So, as we travelled through Thailand, we decided last-minute to head for Kanchanaburi and visit Erawan National Park.

We were travelling late so we had to find a place to sleep in Kanchanaburi. In itself not a problem were it not for the fact that our plan, to arrive before the thousands of tourists, was done for.

So quickly come up with a Plan-B!
We rented a light motorbike. This way we could leave an hour before the first bus.
Without making any stops (in our summer outfit at 16°C), we buzzed towards this beautiful location in a little over an hour.

We immediately set off to complete the 7 levels of the hike first, but this "Level 2" was TOO breathtaking not to dwell on it for a moment.

The magnificent light, the fish sunbathing and enjoying the tranquillity (as if they knew it would be over in an hour), the crashing of the waterfall, the colours.... Everything here was already worth the extra effort!

After this, we moved on to Level 7 and continued to enjoy ourselves there until we saw the bus platoon arrive.

When we passed "our" Level 2 again, we also knew immediately that we had made the best decision. Not only because about 100 swimmers had now taken the place of the fish, but the angle of the sun was lost, and so too was the dreamy atmosphere!

Together with my Finnish wife, we live in the South of Spain. My photography is a compilation of moments from our personal lives, from distant travels and sights from the places we have lived so far.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
