“Ember Chrysanthemum IX” A single chrysanthemum appears to emerge from the deep darkness. Viewed from directly above, its multi-layered floral structure unfolds like a luminous, organic pattern. The outer petals gradually fade into the black background, whilst the warm light becomes increasingly concentrated towards the centre.

Intense shades of red and dark red dominate the outer part of the flower. At the centre, the colouring shifts to a vibrant orange and a warm golden yellow. This creates the impression that there is a hidden ember beneath the petals, shining through the flower from within.

The numerous petals form concentric structures, drawing the eye ever closer to the dark centre. At the same time, the almost complete blackness surrounding the flower makes the visible colours appear even more intense.

As a result, the chrysanthemum appears both delicate and powerful, calm and mysterious. Its natural form is transformed almost into an abstract work of light art by the unusual lighting.

‘Ember Chrysanthemum IX’ thus embodies the central theme of the EMBER BLOOM series: the fusion of natural beauty with light, darkness and an almost hidden inner energy.
