About ‘EUROMAX’ by Nico Dam

The Euromax Terminal was commissioned in September 2008 on the northwest side of the Maasvlakte, as well as the special Delta supply terminal for inland navigation vessels. In the Euromax Terminal, with a capacity of 3 million TEU per year, a combination of the shipping companies COSCO Container Lines, K-Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin take part. The Euromax Terminal is located in the Yangtzehaven, covers an area of 84 hectares and can load and unload the largest container ships. The ships can reach the terminal without restriction through tide or locks. The draft at the quay is 16.8 meters, but when the growth of the container ships continues the depth can be brought to 19.6 meters. The cranes reach 23 containers wide.
