Etosha National Park is a national park in north-western Namibia and one of the largest national parks in Africa.It was declared a wildlife sanctuary as early as 1907 and was given National Park status in 1967.
It covers an area of 22,270 km2 and is named after the great Etosha pan that lies almost entirely within the park. The park is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles, including several endangered and threatened species such as the black rhinoceros.
