About ‘Don’'’t You Forget About Me’ by Koeien van Klaas

In this work by art rebel Klaas, a seemingly simple moment is transformed into a powerful graphic image with a distinct new wave atmosphere. The two figures are looking upwards, as if reacting to something off-screen. That gaze creates tension and raises questions, without providing an immediate answer.

The composition is structured in a clean and purposeful manner. Large areas are deliberately left empty, creating space around the figures. The red area behind them acts as a visual counterpoint, whilst the deep blue brings stability and calm. Together, these colours create a clear yet charged image.

The lines are sharp and direct, with slight fragmentation that gives the work a raw edge. This creates energy without making the composition feel restless. The geometric shapes in the top left reinforce the graphic character and give the whole a subtle structure.

The style draws on influences from Pop Art and the visual language of the 1980s, in which simplicity, contrast and attitude are central. At the same time, the work remains contemporary thanks to its clear formal language and minimalist approach. A powerful and stylish image in which silence, attitude and direction converge. The work invites you to look, but above all to keep looking.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
