Detailed view of Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral.
This cathedral is one of the main Gothic structures in France and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. This is where 33 French kings were crowned.
The façade is impressive and has 2,300 statues.
What I like best of all is the large rose window, 12.5 metres in diameter. Here I have given this window, with its stained glass, a starring role.
To the right of the window, you can see a statue of Mary. The church is dedicated to her.
The church was built in the 13th century. Construction began in 1211 and took 80 years.
When walking through Reims, you can't miss this cathedral. It is definitely worth a visit.

Full of expectations, we sat 's evening with many others waiting for what would never come. And not the evening after either. But in the end, we did have a very warm but also fun weekend in this beautiful and cosy city.
