Even when it is almost summer, huge cloud fields can drift over. While taking this picture, it was almost 11pm. Because it was already almost dark, I was able to make use of a slower shutter speed, which gives the scene a more stretched character and makes the water look tighter. Across the lake we can see the streetlights of Maarsenseweg with streaks of light from the late-night traffic.
