About ‘Da Vinci's legacy’ by Nordlicht Atelier

This work captures a moment of intellectual elegance on the streets of Venice. At its centre is a brightly dressed lady who acts as a point of light against the deep shadows of an exhibition building. The striking header with the words "Leonardo da Vinci" in the background establishes a direct connection to Italian art history. I was inspired by the idea of "universal education" – the encounter between modern man and the great thinkers of the past, framed by the timeless light of the lagoon city. The atmosphere is characterised by a clear, almost reverent silence in the midst of the urban space. The image conveys the message that art and history are not distant concepts, but constantly accompany our everyday lives. Technically, the photograph uses the harsh Venetian sunlight to create extreme light-dark contrasts that make the motif appear almost like a graphic collage. The deliberate positioning of the person under Da Vinci's name gives the composition a strong narrative layer.

In interior design, this photograph is an ideal object for rooms that are intended to radiate culture and style. It fits perfectly in a private study, a library or a modern living area. With the clear typography of the poster and the human presence in the foreground, the image offers an exciting mixture of documentation and art that invites the viewer to linger.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
