One of my favorite examples of modern architecture are Rotterdam's cube houses. The angular geometric shapes fit nicely with the style of the rest of the city. In addition, the white contrasting car and black and white checkered traffic lights complete the streetscape.
To do justice to the shapes and give them a rough vintage look, I chose to take this photo in black and white with my analog camera. The Ilford Delta 100 negative gives a nice fine grain with a deep contrast between the light and dark colors.
For me, this work symbolizes the continuous reconstruction of Rotterdam. Rotterdam is never finished, but always in motion. It is the place where bold modern buildings and artistic excesses find a place.
