About ‘Cruiser Vindictive’ by Eline Verhaeghe
The British HMS Vindictive built in 1897 and refitted in 1909-10, served in the Second World War as a blockade in the port of Ostend for the German submarine boats. Courageous crew sank the ship , which only partially succeeded. The bow has been preserved and now stands on the East New Harbour Dam.
