Colourful polder landscape on a slightly cloudy morning in the autumn season. The photo was taken in the outskirts of the South Holland village of Bleskensgraaf, municipality of Molenlanden, in the centre of Alblasserwaard. The orange colour on the field to the right of the ditch is presumably caused by the use of Glyphosate, probably to remove the growing grass before starting a new crop. Glyphosate is a controversial pesticide because of potentially harmful health effects. In the far background, the arched bridge over the Groote or Achterwaterschap canal can just be seen; the bridge is only accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.
