Colourful flower – Pink petals with a warm burgundy centre

by Marjolijn van den Berg

This cheerful, colourful photograph: "Kleurrijke bloem - Roze blaadjes met warme burgundy - bordeauxrood hart" is a macro shot of part of a coneflower (also known as Echinacea purpurea). This flower has beautiful pink petals and a warm centre.

Colour and atmosphere: The bright fuchsia-pink petals at the bottom of the photograph make it immediately eye-catching, but the warm burgundy-brown / wine-coloured hue lends the photograph a sense of calm, and because the colours complement each other so well, the overall effect is still one of tranquillity. The composition: The composition is different from what you might expect. By framing the flower at an angle and zooming in closer than the flower itself, a (fictional) diagonal line is created within the image. This makes the photograph more playful and dynamic.

This natural eye-catcher can be ordered from Werk aan de Muur (and available outside the Netherlands via Artheroes) on various materials and in different sizes. This means you can hang this photo in your room exactly as you like. Consider, for example, canvas or ArtFrame, but also wallpaper or behind acrylic glass. This colourful eye-catcher would look excellent behind acrylic glass in a waiting room or office, on an ArtFrame in the living room above the sofa or sideboard, or in the bedroom as wallpaper or on aluminium! ©Marjolijn van den Berg
