This photo was taken from the village square of Lubriano.
From here I had a panoramic view of the town of Civita di Bagnoregio, built on tuff.
The town crumbles further every year and can only be reached on foot via a bridge, you pay a few euro's for this.
Almost no people live there anymore but it is much visited by tourists.
Standing at the bridge amidst many tourists, I thought to myself, "I need to take a picture other than the standard one's. Got in the car and drove around just as long until I found this place.
Here only locals greeted me kindly, not a tourist in sight.
I edited the photo to reflect that threat of crumbling through the dark framing of the trees and fencing.
A unique photo in my opinion, not least because of its editing, fits nicely into a graphic environment.

Over the years, I have collected a lot of beautiful prints on my hard disk from which I have made nice photo books via the Blurb website (type in Jaap Bosma and you can view them)..
