About ‘Circle Peano Plumbers’ by Tis Veugen

Two squares of a Peano curve have been concatenated and transformed into a circular pattern. In this way the curve is closed across the circle area. Normally, the Peano curve begins at a corner of a square and ends at the opposite corner. This third order tessellation contains 2 * 27 * 27 = 1458 tiles. Each direction of the tube turns to each other direction, giving 4*3=12 combinations. Because the tessellation is a checkerboard of “black” and “white” tiles, a total of 24 images are input. That's why the plumber (made by CoPilot) runs on opposite sites on the straight tube parts.

My training as a mathematician and my experience as a software programmer are the basic elements for designing my works of art. Since my retirement in 2019 I have started creating digital art with a mathematical slant. The works of M.C. Escher are a source of inspiration. Thanks to programs I developed myself on the computer, I am able to add extra dimensions to Escher's works in the form of structures with photographic material.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
