This Castle Estate is acquired in 18534 by The family Nottebohm and was used as a country retreat. The family Nottebohm was a prominent family in Antwerp and surroundings. They flee away during the second world war and the Castle was used for a while by the Nazi's.
After the war several investors tries to do something with the Caslte but it was never succesfull and the castle and estate became abandoned.
