About ‘Carcassonne’ by Frank Lavooij

A perfection of ramparts and towers
From afar, Carcassonne looms like a dream over the Aude plain. With its 52 towers, its double walls and its castle, built in the XIIth century by the Trencavel family, it is a perfection of ramparts and towers, set in a crown on a hill amid the vineyards. This image, which seems straight out of a fairy tale, takes shape as one approaches the city.

You enter through the Porte de la Narbonnaise, the city's main gate, which is entirely reserved for pedestrians. It is great to stroll through the narrow streets, full of shops, cafés and restaurants. Discover the beautiful houses and exceptional heritage of a city that has benefited from its strategic location at the crossroads between the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and Spain since Roman times.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
