Brown and earth tones colors flow across the surface

by Marjolijn van den Berg

"Brown and earth tones flow across the surface" is an abstract work created using various liquids (including acrylic paint) that "flow" across the canvas. Some of the liquids contain tiny glitter particles and very fine grains.
A photograph of a small section of the painting was taken and edited. The photograph was taken whilst the paint was still wet. The colours in this piece have been adjusted to earth tones, shades of brown, champagne white and black. The photo has been cropped to a panoramic format.
This wall decoration actually falls into two categories: photography and painting. I chose to place this under photography because I was experimenting with the paint for the photo! (It’s actually the same as what I do with smoke and water; I create it for the photograph)
The colours flow alongside, through and around each other.
subject: abstract, liquid colours flowing alongside, through and around each other. Due to the different liquids being mixed together, it also appears as though a sort of organic cell structure has formed. With a little imagination, you can see all sorts of things in it!
This photo is ideal as wall art for the living room or study, for example on ArtFrame, or simply as wallpaper in the bedroom
