The cherry blossom (sakura in Japanese) has always been a symbol of ephemeral beauty in Japan. It is closely associated with the samurai and bushido. This is also why you often see flowers printed on kimonos or crockery. In it, life is seen as beautiful and short, a bit like the cherry blossom that explodes and disappears again. Today, the Japanese Sakura period is entirely dominated by the Cherry Blossom celebrations organised around it. It belongs to the core of Japanese culture and is one of the most important period of the year, and the Japanese cherry blossom is known all over the world because beautiful, almost magical, pictures are always taken and distributed. Flowering periods are short so be quick!
