About the artwork

Flat Bijlmer, Amsterdam The beauty of our everyday living environment. That is what I want to show in my photo series of which this picture is part. The entrance to the gym, the shopping centre, schoolyard, a car park. In our daily lives, we are far too hurried. The people in my photos have no eye for their surroundings but unnoticed they are part of a very beautiful picture.

To make this photo series, I started looking around me more consciously. I saw interesting lines and patterns and special details in buildings and other urban elements that I had never noticed before. "To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place ...", an apt quote by American photographer Elliott Erwitt that well describes what this photo series is about: capturing special details in the world around me. With my photos, I hope to inspire you to also look differently at the world around you: beauty is everywhere and closer than you think!

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
