For many a bird photographer, birder and nature lover, the Ruff in its breeding garb is the springtime meadow bird that makes hearts beat the fastest. Seeing the males up close and 'kemp behaviour' is a fantastic natural phenomenon to witness. The males are much larger than the females, in the picture the male on the right and two females on the left. Above all, no two Ruffs are the same and they have all sorts of colours in their collars and ear tufts, in their splendid spring plumage.
Dedicated to nature and photography. Giving nature and birdphotography workshops on a weekly basis in Holland.
