The artwork "Berlin Central Station" shows the iconic glass architecture of Berlin Central Station at night. At the centre is the expansive glass façade, through which the warm light of the interior radiates outwards. In the foreground, people move across the forecourt - some shadowy, some clearly recognisable - lending the image a dynamic, urban vibrancy. Reflections on the glass and the night-time lighting create a multi-layered interplay of light, structure and movement.
The inspiration for this work came from a night-time visit to the railway station. I was fascinated by the combination of technical precision, public space and human movement. The railway station is not just a transport hub, but a place of transition - both architecturally and emotionally.
I wanted to create an atmosphere that radiates both energy and calm. The image should capture the moment between arrival and departure - a brief standstill in the flow of the city.
The message lies in the connection between architecture and everyday life. It's about the interplay of space, light and people.
In interior design, this work acts as an urban accent. It brings depth, structure and a modern metropolitan atmosphere to the room - ideal for work areas, corridors or minimalist living concepts.
