About "Benediktsplatz with a view of the Krämerbrücke"

About the artwork

The picture shows a street scene at Benediktsplatz in Erfurt at night, taken in black and white. In the foreground, the cobbled street is divided, flanked by historic buildings. On the left-hand side, a shop window labelled "Still Life" catches the eye. Strings of lights stretch across the street, signalling the way to the famous Krämerbrücke bridge. The scene is deserted, quiet and atmospherically intensified by the lighting.

Benediktsplatz is located at the southern entrance to the Krämerbrücke - one of Erfurt's most famous buildings. The bridge itself dates back to the Middle Ages and is still covered with houses today. The square in front of it forms a transition between the flair of the old town and everyday urban life.

My inspiration for this picture was the special atmosphere of the place at night - reduced to light, structure and contrast. The decision to use black and white was deliberate in order to concentrate the composition on the essentials.

The atmosphere is calm, almost contemplative. The picture invites you to pause and let your gaze wander through the empty street.

In interior design, this work acts as a graphically strong, timeless accent. It fits particularly well in modern, minimalist rooms with a reference to architecture, urban history or urban photography.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
