About ‘Beekhuizerzand with Pep Ventosa technique’ by Eddy Westdijk

I have been experimenting with the 'Pep Ventosa'technique. The principle works like this: you photograph an object from all sides and then superimpose the photos'on top of each other. So you see the object from all angles in one photo. This creates a particularly beautiful, painterly effect.

I compiled this photo from more than 20 photos I took of one of the characteristic trees on the Beekhuizerzand near Harderwijk. The photos've been merged using Photoshop.

I edited the photo using my camera's Reala Ace film simulation and a surreal colour edit in Photoshop.
