Tarifa is located in the far south-west of Spain on the Costa de la Luz in Andalusia. The town attracts many surfers and kitesurfers every day. This is because the beaches almost always have a decent breeze, making it ideal for these water sports.
Besides the beach, you will find a large port in Tarifa and from here the ferry to Tangier in Morocco departs. Morocco is only 14 kilometres away and you can easily see it from the Spanish mainland.
Fans of hiking can take a nice coastal walk and Tarifa's old town gate and city centre are also well worth a visit.
