About ‘Autumn Everywhere’ by Hilleke Scheper

Autumn Everywhere I love trying out new techniques and creating something new time and time again. This painting was my first attempt at the Dutch Pouring technique.

The Indian Summer colours exude warmth and atmosphere through the rich colour palette of gold, bronze, brown, yellow, orange and deep red. The colours flow into one another and evoke the feeling of a warm autumn day on which nature is slowly preparing for winter.

The leaves seem to dance in the wind. The cheerful summer colours have given way to deep, warm autumnal hues that flutter gracefully downwards, forming a thick, crisp carpet on the ground. The crisp autumn breeze blows the leaves further into the garden, where they gather in a sheltered corner. There, nature begins a new process of change. Worms and other organisms go about their work undisturbed: they break down the fallen leaves and slowly transform them into nutritious, dark humus. Thus, from transience, new life emerges. For me, this painting not only shows the beauty of autumn, but also the continuous cycle of nature — full of colour, movement and transformation.

My name is Hilleke Scheper. I have been living in Buitenpost in Friesland (the Netherlands) – a lovely village – for 13 years now.

Even as a child, I was often busy with pencils and coloured pencils, and painting with gouache. Around 1957, every Saturday a biologist would be on the radio who could talk so beautifully about the flora and fauna. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
