About ‘Athabasca River’ by Ton de Koning

Canada - Banff National Park – Icefields Parkway
On the banks of the Athabasca River, just before Sunwapta Falls, a wild and unspoilt landscape stretches out. The weathered limestone cliffs, smooth and discoloured by centuries of erosion, stand as silent witnesses to the power of the water. Surrounded by lush conifers – mainly pines and spruces – the surroundings exude tranquillity and majesty.
The river’s water, with its characteristic milky turquoise colour caused by glacial flour, flows powerfully and tensely towards a narrower passage, where it forges its way with unstoppable energy. In the background, a rapid is visible, a harbinger of the waterfall that lies just out of shot. The atmosphere is lively, yet serene, with the snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains serving as an impressive backdrop.
A moment of pure, unspoilt nature.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
