Butterfly wings reimagined through Art Deco geometry. Arcs of teal and ivory interlock with gold bands, meeting at a precise center line so the symmetry feels calm and assured. Each cell is outlined with clean contour lines, and small circular “cabochons” punctuate the structure like inlaid enamel. The palette remains focused, allowing the metallic warmth to play against deep black for clarity without glare. It reads ornamental yet disciplined, more architecture than ornament.
The design grew from quick studies of wing venation, simplified into repeating curves and stepped frames. In the studio I refined everything digitally to calibrate proportion, spacing, and alignment. Edges stay crisp, transitions stay gentle, and negative space is measured to give the eye room to rest between motifs. The goal was to capture the sense of lift and poise without literal texture.
Created to bring quiet glamour and clear structure to contemporary interiors. The centered symmetry makes a confident focal point above a sofa or console, pairing naturally with minimalist furniture, warm woods, and neutral textiles.
