This photo is of part of the side wing of the James-Simon Gallery on Bodestrasse in Berlin. Beautiful shadow lines due to the early sunlight. Concrete posts whose structure is still clearly visible even in the photo. The bench against the wall that interrupts the rhythm of the lines well, adding a dimension to the photo.
The photo is deliberately in monochrome, black and white, because colour doesn't really add anything to the image of light and shadow. It is a photo that had long been on my "wish list" to take. Every time I was in Berlin, the lines did not come out right because it was cloudy, the position of the sun was just not right or for whatever reason. So a photo that has been in my head for a long time, but is now here.
Specialized in landscapes and nature, especially in the Netherlands. The Veluwe forests and the waterfront are common subjects, sometimes with the contrast of nature and human traces.
