Together with a friend, I set off for the Veluwezoom in the early morning. We wanted to see and hear burbling deer, and we succeeded!
As we walked along the road, I suddenly noticed that the morning light on the other side of the road fell through the forest in beautiful lanes.
It then took some time to find a nice spot to highlight this beautiful light for a nice composition.
And yes, there it was. A side path that ran straight into the sun's rays, a beautiful setting. The image creates an anticipation, any moment something could walk into the picture. A little later, Scottish Highlanders actually came walking into the image, a beautiful picture. Yet this picture appeals to me more. The anticipation is in the air, anything can still happen, you can further fill in the story yourself. Let your imagination run wild.
Passion for photography, where does something like that come from? The beauty is that every photographer will have their own answer. For me it flows out of being able to freeze a moment, step out of the day-to-day rush, and take my time for what I am.. Read more…
