About "An Italian fairy tale castle Rocchetta Mattei"

About the artwork

In the province of Bologna stands a beautiful castle. This castle was built in the 10th century by Dr. Mattei. The reason Dr. Mattei wanted to build this castle: it was to be the icing on the cake for his invention, electro-homeopathy, a kind of medicine based on natural herbs prepared in a secret process to cure all kinds of male diseases.

Through a labyrinth of stairs, you will reach one of the highlights of the castle: La Cappella. This room is an imitation of the Cathedral of Cordoba and contains the tomb of Count Cesare Mattei, who died on April 3 in 1896 at the age of 87.

The castle has long been abandoned, In 2006 the Fondazione della Cassa di Risparmio of Bologna bought the castle and the surrounding area. They started a large-scale renovation and it was not until August 9, 2015, that the castle could be visited again. Work on the castle is still in progress.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
