About ‘Altmann’ by Gerhard Albicker
The Altmann is the second highest mountain in the Alpstein and the Appenzell Alps as a whole, at 2435 metres above sea level, on the border between the cantons of Appenzell Innerrhoden (district of Rüte) and St. Gallen (municipality of Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann) in Switzerland. It consists of limestone.
