About "Afternoon rest in the Venetian Alley"

About the artwork

The photo captures the timeless character of a narrow street in Venice, bathed in soft afternoon light. To the right, pastel-coloured facades, decorated with cast-iron balconies full of flowering plants, immediately catch your eye. Set against these warm tones are weathered walls where bricks are partly visible through flaking plaster, adding to the sense of history and authentic charm.

Above the street, freshly washed laundry hangs to dry on a line, tied with colourful clothes pegs. This everyday scene gives the scene a human, homely feel and underlines that this place is truly lived in. Dark wooden doors and gridded windows suggest a mix of residential houses and old trading rooms.

The cobbled street reflects the light and meanders quietly between the old buildings. In the distance, a red fire hydrant hints at the care of this old town. Everything exudes a serene silence; it is as if the alley is just waking up and the residents are quietly starting their day. The atmosphere is peaceful, intimate and inviting, where centuries-old Italian lifestyle blends seamlessly with the squishy ordinariness of the present.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
