About ‘Acqui Terme’ by Antwan Janssen

Acqui Terme in Piedmont is a tourist attraction. The quaint town has a warren of streets, nice restaurants and some nice shops. It is also still an important spa town because of its three springs: 'La Bollente', 'Del Lago' and 'Acqua Marcia'. The springs are said to have a healing effect on various health complaints. So at the La Bollente, don't be surprised if you see, especially, Italians, drinking a cup of water from the hot water. Acqui Terme was a distinguished thermal centre in Roman times. The imposing ruins of the Roman acqueduct on the river Bormida is the town's most valuable monument. The structure dates back to the time of Augustus, roughly early in the first century AD. It is located just outside the centre of Acqui Terme.
Next to Grand Hotel Nuove Terme, ruins of a large spa complex and an amphitheatre are still visible from the Roman city of Acquie Statiellae, today's Acqui Terme. You'll also find the Roman fountain on Corso Roma. All in all, a nice city.

As you can see on this site my preference goes to landscapes, wildlife but also to the local population, mostly abroad but certainly also in our beautiful Netherlands. In recent years, several of my photos have won awards in both national and international photo competitions.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
