The proverbial light went out in this former candle factory in Belgium about 40 years ago.
Surrounded by other buildings, this site was long preserved and shielded from passers-by.
We see machines into which hot wax was pumped to be moulded into candles. The wires were the wicks.
This location appealed to me because it is quite unique in Belgium for such premises to remain unnoticed and immune from vandalism for so long.
The work looks good in shop premises, restaurants or homes with classic and industrial interiors.
The photo was taken in an HDR composition of 3 differently exposed photos each time. Post-processing was done in Lightroom. No elements were added or removed in photoshop.
